PHP Developer

We’re looking for experienced top notch PHP developers to join our team. 

We’re currently a team of 5 that works a number of projects concurrently, so everyone is involved in everything that we do. As a result you will need the ability to successfully prioritise a varied workload, including working to multiple deadlines.  We use an Agile project management methodology, so you will also be involved in estimating and responsible for managing your own time. 

We work in a variety of sectors to build progressive web applications, business tools, web service integrations, APIs and products. We are involved throughout the process; from scoping and planning, right through UX, design and development - so you will be involved in the whole process and will get to influence the projects and see the impact you make.

You’ve got to love the web - show us that you have the understanding of and passion for the latest technology and approaches.  We want your passion to come across in our work and everyone is encouraged to input to all projects.   

Must haves: 

  • Objected Oriented PHP
  • Expert level PHP
  • Craft Content Management System
  • JS - ideally Vue.js
  • Git
  • Strong MySQL knowledge (table design, complex query creation, best practices)
  • Excellent at Googling for answers in Stack Overflow :-)

Nice to haves:

  • Proven experience with Laravel 5 framework
  • Test Driven Development 
  • Chatbots, Machine Learning 
  • Front end performance, CDNs, caching, page speed etc.
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients
  • Dev Ops (AWS & Digital Ocean)
  • Agile experience

  • You can work from home, but will be expected to make an office visit once or twice a week (Please note our main office is in Buckingham). You may also be required for client visits.
  • Flexible working hours considered, but you will need to be available for Agile Scrum calls.
  • This is a full time position, but we would also be interested in talking to people who are looking for a part time gig.
  • Yearly training budget is available for conferences and courses.
