When verbMAPS came to us with a brand new concept in language learning, we jumped at the chance to create a bespoke platform to help them spread the word. verbMAPS creator, Phil McGowan, came up with a unique, visual method for learning verb conjugation and remembering conjugation patterns.

The challenge was to take something that was ostensibly for print purposes and transform it into a digital format. Of course, the actual layout of the verbMaps had to remain the same, as that’s the whole concept. This meant that making a responsive version of the website is basically impossible, without redoing all of Phil’s hard work in creating the maps in the first place!

Built using the Laravel framework, the verbMAPS website allows users to search for tens of thousands of verbs in French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish, and presents the verbMAP verb conjugations back to them in the appropriate visual pattern. In addition, the site features language localisation in English, French and Spanish, as well as multiple sharing options including iFrame embeds for use on other websites.

In the run up to the website launch, we also worked with verbMAPS to devise a digital marketing strategy for the launch. The strategy outlined the internal and external analysis, objectives, campaign proposal and recommendations. Initially focusing on social media, a strategy was developed to outline the specific KPIs, key messages and content for the Facebook and Twitter platforms. We went on to manage their content plan and Facebook and Twitter accounts on an ongoing basis, working to increase followers audience and book sales.

See the real thing.

So... Shall we talk about your next project?
