Following discussions with both existing and future clients, it would appear that we probably need to explain why we are called what we are. So, the reasons for our company name are threefold:
".. in programming terms, a method is a subroutine or function of a containing class..."
Object Orientated programming in languages such as PHP and Java use Objects, Method and Classes. A good definition of this can be found on Wikipedia;
"..the term method refers to a subroutine that is exclusively associated either with a class (called class methods, static methods, or factory methods) or with an object (called instance methods)."
So basically we use objects, methods and classes in the programming of our web sites. However, we concluded that calling the company Object, Method & Class might be too much of a tongue twister!
Getting a decent domain name for your web site is becoming increasingly difficult. Obviously there is only one .com of each domain name, so finding something that is remotely meaningful and in keeping with your corporate branding is getting harder each day. In fact, this is one of the major reasons why we have the name we do, we couldn't get a domain name for other other options.
What do you think? Do you like it or not? So far it seems to be dividing opinion, but that seemed to be predominantly because people didn't 'get it' or what it stood for. Let us know what you think?
