Monitoring a website's performance
Having a new website built is by no means the end of the process; far from it. In order to measure the success of your new website, it is important to monitor its performance, make tweaks and constantly evolve the website into a lean, mean, sales machine!
A website monitoring package such as Google Analytics offers so much information it can become unwieldy for the uninitiated. We provide a monitoring and reporting package that will provide you with a monthly summary of how your website is performing. Sure, you can do this yourself, using the same tools but sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day to collate the information and perform any meaningful analysis of it, which is where we step in.
How do we monitor a website's performance?
T

ypically, we use 3rd party systems such as
Google Analytics,
ClickTale and
StatCounter to monitor a website's visitors. These packages offer information on:
- who has visited your website
- what pages they looked at and how long they stayed on each page
- which page they arrived on and which they exited on
- which keywords they used (if arriving from a search engine)
- which platform and web browser they are using
- any referring pages (back links from other websites)
- which region/country they are in
- if they clicked on a pay-per-click advert, which one they clicked on
If you think this level of information is available for most visitors to your website, the amount of processing you will need to do each month is substantial.
Why not leave it to us to provide you with a monthly summary of your website's performance? Or, better still; couple it with our Search Engine Optimisation service to help demonstrate the improvements in site peformance from the previous month.
