Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) services
Search Engine Optimisation is not rocket science; the fundamentals are found in doing things properly and sticking to "the rules". When we build you a website, we can either show you these rules, to enable you to do it yourselves, or we can take care of the grunt work for you.
SEO is not rocket science. What it is is time consuming, hard work, it returns mixed results and is boring. It is for this reason that many of our clients outsource their SEO work to us. They simply don't have the time, skills or inclination to do the work in-house. In many ways, this makes perfect business sense. Why would you spend time fumbling around with something you are uncertain about, which is difficult to yield results and measure success from, when you could be doing what you do best - delivering an excellent service or creating great products?
SEO is like doing DIY in your home
In may sound like an odd statement but SEO really is like DIY. Most people like to think that they can weald a hammer, create the perfect mortise joint and not drip any gloss on their carpet. But, in reality, we don't have the time or skills to do the job properly and, if funds are available, we get a professional in to do it for us. The same principles apply to SEO. It is actually quite simple to change some page titles and add some keywords to get average results but, if your business is in a competitive market, average simply isn't good enough and you will need some more advanced SEO techniques and lots of additional onsite and offsite optimisation, which takes a lot of time and effort.
Our SEO package
Our SEO packages are based around doing research: establishing who your competitors are, how well your site is doing, how well set up it is, what keywords or phrases it is targeting and what is realistic. We would then look at the opportunities available to you, which keywords you should target, what content needs to be written and what back links you need to obtain.
Once we have established where you are and what you're trying to achieve, we would formulate
a plan of attack. This is typically made up of:
- initial alterations to the website for on-site optimisation
- a monthly plan of what content is required, keywords to be targeted and the previous performance of the website
So, every month we would report back to you on the current performance of your website, any change in performance and the content requirements from you for the following month (actually this is usually on a two month lead time). At regular intervals we can then compare the performance against the goals and targets made and, if necessary, make any alterations to the website's layout and design to help boost enquiries and calls to action.
